Bobby and Linda Chilton Bob and his wife Linda have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. Bob attended 3 years at Harding College in Searcy, AR and is now retired from General Motors. He has been a member of the church for 45 years. Bob states, "The most important thing in my life is to get to Heaven. Next is to be sure my family is aiming for the same goal. My third goal is to help others spend an eternity with God also, so my "extended family" becomes a life's concern. I truly believe that the office of an elder is much like the church-perfection filled by imperfect persons. But, I believe that the Lord shepherds us (see Psalm 23), so likewise should we, as shepards, try to guide the flock (our church family). Everyday I pray for the knowledge and wisdom which only God can provide to keep me pointed in the right way. I only want to serve Him faithfully and help others to do the same." |
